Help us build the Atlas of Drowned Towns archive by contributing your stories, memories, photos, documents, or other objects using the form below.

Some examples of information you are welcome to share with us:

  • The name, location and year the inundation happened
  • What happened to that community? Was it moved?
  • Share objects, memorabilia about the town like old tapes, coins, city notes.
  • What dam or river development project led to the community’s inundation?
  • What historical resources about that community are available?
  • Share artifacts such as scanned photographs, documents, diary entry.

How does it work?

  1. Fill in some contact details, including your name and email address
  2. Tell us the story that you would like to add to the archive
  3. Give us some details of the objects that you want to add to the archive
  4. Upload photos or scan the objects
  5. Answer some additional questions
