Terms of Service for Share Your Stories
Thank you for contributing to the Atlas of Drowned Towns (“the Atlas”) project, which digitally preserves stories and objects related to places that were eliminated or moved to make way for dams and other river development projects.
Photographs and scans of the objects that you (“the Contributors”) contribute (“your objects”) under this agreement, and video and audio recordings, photographs, and transcripts resulting from the interviews (“your interviews”) undertaken in this agreement, are housed in the digital archive and digital platform of the Atlas of Drowned Towns project (“the Atlas”) and at the Special Collections and Archives at Albertsons Library, Boise State University (“SCA”).
Your objects and interviews are made available to the general public for use.
Your objects and interviews will be made available online on the Atlas digital archive and digital platform and online through SCA.
Your objects and interviews will be made available for use onsite at the SCA.
Your objects and interviews may be reproduced in scholarly and popular publications, including in scholarly journals, newspapers, audiovisual presentations, exhibits, and websites.
You confirm that the objects that you are submitting belong to you, or the owner of these materials has authorized you to submit the materials on their behalf.
You confirm that you own the copyright in the objects, or the owner of these rights has authorized you to give permission for the objects to be photographed and scanned.
You acknowledge and understand the information above and hereby give, grant, and assign all rights, title, and interest of whatever kind, including copyright, from this information, the objects, and the interviews to the Atlas of Drowned Towns.
Before you make a contribution to the Atlas of Drowned Towns, you, or the individual you are making a submission on the behalf of, must agree to the above terms, and you will be asked to confirm this by checking a box on the submission form. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not make a contribution to the Atlas of Drowned Towns.
