South Indian Lake, Canada
South Indian Lake is home to the O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation (Cree: ᐅᐱᐴᓇᐱᐏᐣ). The community was forced to move from its original location due to the rising water level of Southern Indian Lake that was caused by the Churchill River Diversion. About 500 people were displaced.
