Displaced by Sanmenxia Dam
The Sanmenxia Dam in China displaced as many as 400,000 people in Shanxi province and Henan Province. The Tongguan Ancient City was also dismantled to make way for the reservoir. (Pictured: East Pass Gate of Tongguan in 1941.)
