Buenavista, Mexico

Residents of Buenavista were forced to leave quickly, taking what little they could with them, when the reservoir behind Álvaro Obregón Dam started to fill in the early 1950s. Buenavista's ruins--including a church, school, and gravestones--reemerge when water levels are low.
