La Vieja Concordia, Mexico

In June 1974, before Angostura Dam submerged the salt mining town of La Vieja Concordia, its residents relocated to a new town site. The very last inhabitant to leave was El Señor de la Misericordia, whose sacred image was carried out of the community by a group of men and women.
