Ebb and Flow First Nation, Canada

Members of the Ebb and Flow First Nation(Ojibwe: Gaa-gwekwekejiwang) were displaced in 2011 during the historic flooding of Manitoba Province. A lawyer who represented the Ebb and Flow and the Peguis First Nations said of the flooding: "A conscious decision was made this spring to keep Portage la Prairie dry and put Ebb and Flow under water."
