Displaced by Whitehorse Dam

The Whitehorse Dam displaced members of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation. It also affected the territories of Ta’an Kwächän Council, Carcross/Tagish First Nation and the claimed territory of the Taku River Tlingit First Nation. Today, the Kwanlin Dün First Nation is located two miles from their ancestral home along the Yukon River. (Photo credit: The Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre.)
