Displaced by Mica Dam
Mica Dam displaced homesteads throughout Big Bend Country near the northern reaches of the Columbia River. Some residents report being forced to sell their lands, only to find that they were not actually inundated by Kinbasket Reservoir; when displaced families then tried to buy back their lands, BC Hydro asked for four times the price.
