Los Martinez, New Mexico
Los Martinez students, and their teacher, in 1947. Los Martinez was one of four communities displaced by Navajo Dam. Although the town site was not inundated, it was located near the dam and USACE needed the land it sat on. The nearby Our Lady of Guadalupe Church still stands, and celebrates an annual mass each December.
