Displaced by Oahe Damn, South Dakota
Residents of Standing Rock salvaging timber before the Oahe Dam inundated ninety percent of the reservation's woodland. The dam submerged 160,889 acres of Standing Rock and Cheyenne River Sioux land, and displaced residents of both reservations, including 190 Standing Rock families.
