Displaced by Saluda Dam, South Carolina
This rock house, built around 1800, now lies beneath Lake Murray. The reservoir displaced communities--including Dutch Fork and Saxe Gotha--settled by German, Dutch, and Swiss immigrants in the eighteenth century.
