Displaced by Cochiti Dam, New Mexico
Cochiti Dam was built by the US Army Corps of Engineers in the 1960s and 1970s, despite opposition from many members of Cochiti Pueblo. The reservoir inundated agricultural land, sacred sites, and traditional summer homes that belonged to the Cochiti people.
