Displaced by the Inga Dams

Displaced by the Inga Dams

Thousands of people were displaced by the Inga Dams in the 1970s and 1980s. Many were resettled to Camp Kinshasa. Once a work camp for dam workers, it is now home to displaced people, former project workers, and their children. Conditions are reported to be dire in the camp, with a single tap serving as the only water source for 10,000 people.
