Additional People Displaced By Ilisu Dam
The Ilisu Dam displaced between 55,000 and 80,000 people. In addition to cultural significant sites like the ancient town of Hasankeyf, many smaller villages and settlements were inundated. Many of those affected belong to Türkiye's Kurdish minority.
