Displaced by the Urrá Dam

Displaced by the Urrá Dam

The Urrá Dam displaced more than 6,000 Embera Katío people from their homelands along the Sinú River when it was completed in 1999. Though the dam was meant to control flooding, there have recently been some of the worst floods on record in the region.
