Displaced by Tarbela Dam
The Tarbela Reservoir displaced over 96000 people in more than 135 villages in the late 60s and early 70s. Darband, the capital of the former princely state of Amb, was among the towns inundated. Some of the displaced people are still awaiting land allotted to them by the Government of Pakistan.
