Displaced by Danjiangkou Reservoir
Hundreds of thousands of people from over a thousand villages and towns have been displaced by the Danjiankou Reservoir. The towns inundated were in both Hubei Province and Hunan Province. Initial resettlement came in the 1960s, followed by a second wave of resettlement in the 2000s due to a massive expansion of the reservoir.
