Fengdu, China
Fengdu County in Chongqing, China, is often called the Ghost City. It is known for Mount Mingshan and its many temples connected to Chinese beliefs about the afterlife. After the completion of the Three Gorges Dam, rising water levels turned Fengdu into an island in the Yangtze River.
