Rock Rift, New York
Rock Rift was one of five villages seized by eminent domain to make way for Cannonsville Reservoir, built to provide water to New York City. Despite its small size, Rock Rift had a church and several businesses, including two bars and a general store. Cannonsville Reservoir inundated the town site in 1965.
