Halsell, Texas

Halsell Band circa 1925. Home to approximately 600 residents at the beginning of the twentieth century, Halsell's population dropped after the railroad ceased running through town in 1921. In 1965 and 1966, Lake Arrowhead inundated Halsell, along with area nesting grounds for wild turkeys.
