Jerusalem, Connecticut

In the 1920s, the town of Jerusalem was displaced through imminent domain in anticipation of Candlewood Reservoir. Between the town itself and the surrounding area, thirty-five families were uprooted, one hundred buildings relocated or knocked down, and 5,420 acres flooded.
