Greenwich, Massachusetts

Greenwich was the first town founded by white settlers in the Swift River Valley. Its primary industries included farming, some light manufacturing, and tourism. The town was disincorporated in 1938 to make way for Quabbin Reservoir, which provides water to the city of Boston.
