Klamath Junction, Oregon
Klamath Junction, located at the crossroads of the Ashland-Klamath Falls and Pacific highways, was a tourist information center and rest stop. Established by the Southern Oregon Tourist Bureau, it included a dining hall, campground, gas station, exhibit center, and a few homes. Klamath Junction sat near Emigrant Lake, which was formed by Emigrant Dam in 1926. When the US Bureau of Reclamation expanded the lake in 1960, it inundated Klamath Junction.
