Carter, Oregon
Carter, named after settler Joe Carter, was home to twelve families who lived on farms scattered throughout the area. The Southern Pacific Railroad laid track in Carter in 1912, and opened a siding station in the village shortly thereafter. Lookout Point Dam inundated Carter in 1954.
