Interview with Julie Ann Gunderson who discusses purchasing and restoring a historic cabin in Detroit, Oregon, originally built around 1940 and one of the few structures that remained in place through the creation of Detroit Lake and later the 2020 Labor Day wildfire. She reflects on the cabin’s layered history across multiple “versions” of Detroit and her efforts to preserve and learn more about the property’s past while rebuilding and adapting to the town’s post-fire landscape.
